Curse you, WB!
I watched One Tree Hill tonight and sobbed my fool head off. Here in Indonesia we're only halfway through season one. For those of you who read this blog and are also fans of the show (um, so basically you, Kristin) it was the episode where Lucas was in the hospital after his car accident and his mom and best friend and girlfriend(s) were all sad.
The show was about best friends and moms, basically. Two of the top five things I miss from home. (Dads, my dog and winter are the other three, in case you're wondering.)
I felt like a big dweeb, sitting on my couch in my cowboy pajama pants, sobbing pathetically at a teen drama brought to us by the W-freakin'-B. It wasn't fair, really, I couldn't help it. The kid's mom, Karen, was singing "You Are My Sunshine" to him. My mom used to sing me that when I was little. Just when I'd started to pick up the tattered shreds of my dignity, there was some bit about best friends and how nothing can tear apart best friends. Gaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh...
I think I'll just leave those shreds of dignity right there on the floor. :)
