Hey, Anne Heche, your home phoned...

My good friend and former editor, Stephanie Croston, sent me the following press release she received via e-mail. I realize I am probably violating several intergalactic copyright laws by reprinting this here, but I am willing to make that sacrifice for the sake of truth and entertainment. This, after all, is a great example of why I went into journalism in the first place.

The crazies. I loves me the crazies.

Enjoy:

The 22nd Interplanetary Conclave of Light WE ARE NOT ALONE IN THE UNIVERSE

Late last spring, astronomers announced the discovery of a new earth-like planet outside our solar system--likely the most earth-like world to have been discovered so far. With this and other recent discoveries, astronomers are getting closer to answering the age-old question of whether or not there is life on other planets. Since 1954, the Unarius Academy of Science has provided factual and scientific information verifying the existence of human beings on other terrestrial planets and the far-reaching, positive effects that will result from contacts with these extraterrestrials.

Every year people from all over the globe participate in the Interplanetary Conclave of Light, a three-day event held in El Cajon, California, to celebrate and advance that we are not alone in the universe and to welcome the contact and arrival of humankind from other earth worlds. This year, the 22nd Conclave, "We Are Not Alone in the Universe," will be held on October 7-9, 2005.

Ruth Norman, cosmic visionary and cofounder of Unarius, initiated the Conclave in 1980 to awaken and enlighten people to the reality that humankind exists throughout the universe and to acknowledge the tremendous, positive global changes that will result from contacts with extraterrestrials--the Space Brothers, as she called them. This annual event is celebrated each year on the second weekend of October at Unarius' world headquarters in El Cajon.

Throughout the Conclave event, attendees will learn more about the Space Brothers, advanced beings who reside on 32 planets of an Interplanetary Confederation. Ruth Norman, who was known by her spiritual name of Uriel, mentally contacted these planetary leaders in the early 1970s. Planet Earth has been invited to become the 33rd linking member of this galactic "united nations," whose purpose is the betterment of humankind throughout the Milky Way Galaxy.
Highlights of the Conclave of Light will include a demonstration of Tesla technology, the forerunner for future technology that will provide a nonpolluting, limitless source of free energy for Earth, and the Interplanetary Procession and Dove Release. This colorful, outdoor procession culminates in a proclamation declaring humankind's commitment for peace on Earth and the release of 33 white doves, representing each of the planets of the Interplanetary Confederation.
