Hooray beer

I was playing a word game with my 7th graders yesterday. I told them I had a four-letter word and they had to guess it. They'd guess a word and I'd tell them how many of those letters were correct and how many were in the correct position. (This is played with an overhead projector and also works with numbers and larger or smaller words.)

A new round had just started when a little guy, one who looks alarmingly like the Indonesian version of the evil genius younger brother from the Foxtrot comic strip, spoke up.

"BEER!"

"Yeah, beer!!!" the others chimed in excitedly.

Oh, children. Though I suppose there are less-appropriate four-letter words they could've thought of...

(The word, for the record, was "lamp.")
