Nuggets of random blogaliciousness

*Our library was renovated over the summer and now it smells, oddly, like the Seward County Fair. I know. Weird.

*I get the sinking feeling that today I'm that teacher. You know, the one we all had in elementary or middle school whose slip was always showing or whose tie was too short, who always had lipstick on her teeth or smelled faintly of moth balls. As of 7:45 a.m. my coffee wearing ratio was significantly higher than my coffee drinking ratio. Yay. Also, the uniform shirt I'm wearing today has, inexplicably, started coming unbuttoned all by itself...in a rather unfortunate spot, might I add. Hi, 7th graders, this is my bra. I used my Tide stain remover pen to try to de-coffee myself but for some reason it smells really weird so now I think I smell really weird. As a last-ditch effort to help the coffee and peek-a-boob situation I put on my school-issue navy blue sweater. This sweater, ladies and gentleman, is what experts would call "fugly."

*I heart my pens from the Big Bang Bar in St. Louis. They make me smile. I use one at school when I'm crabby or homesick so I can remember my happy summer holiday and look forward to next year. (Kristin and I have decided we're going to shop all day at spend every night at the Big Bang. This will undoubtedly be a lucrative career move for both of us.) I let a kid borrow one of these pens for a few minutes yesterday, but not before he fully understood that if he did not return said pen I would kill him. I realize they're technically free pens, but over here they're imported!

*We haven't been able to watch The Daily Show Global Edition over here since we got back. It airs a few times per weekend on CNN International, and when actual news happens it sometimes gets pre-empted. I can understand this if it's breaking news or something, but...denying me my God-given right to Jon Stewart to air the exact same generic footage they've been showing all day, just because? Really? Come on!

*I realize the title of this post is really stupid, but you can't expect me to be brilliant twice in the span of two days. I can't top yesterday's "Apache." Kemosabe, jump on it! DANG IT. Now I have that song in my head again. Aargh.
