I give up

I've decided I'm done with trying to figure out Captain Random, my odd (yet rather lovable) coworker who continues to baffle us all. Rather than try to decipher his strange way of communicating, I've taken to being just as weird in response. Take this morning, for example.

Captain Random (by way of greeting, presumably): I've got them with me.

Me (taking a minute to think of an appropriate response to this comment which makes no sense): That's absolutely hilarious. Good for you, dude.

He laughed in the manner of someone who really doesn't get the joke but feels laughter is warranted anyway, and continued on his merry way.

I figure when (or if) he figures out our conversation made no sense he'll come explain whatever it was he meant. Until then, I'll continue to be amused.

In other news, our character building camp was a success. It was two and a half exhausting days of great fun, but more on that later.

We still haven't seen Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. It just wasn't meant to be this weekend, despite the fact that it's playing at about 20 venues in Jakarta and we tried several of those. Alas, everyone else wanted to see the movie, too, and apparently everyone else had better luck getting tickets. We don't have to wait too much longer, though, as tonight we managed to score tickets to see the movie with the Hansons.

Whoo-hoo, going out on a school night! I'm living on the edge, baby.
