Wild on Jakarta
In Jakarta I can get into nightclubs I'd have to be Paris Hilton to get into at home.
It's nearly 4 a.m. and I'm starting to think that, while I can get into said nightclubs and enjoy a lychee martini or three and shake what my mama gave me (thanks mom!) perhaps I should leave this to the kiddies.
AND SERIOUSLY. Would it kill anyone to open a Perkins here?! Come on, we've got TGIFridays, Chili's and Outback. Why can't a girl get pancakes or a ham and cheese omelette at 4 a.m. if she really wants one?! Honestly, people!
Most Saturday nights find me home in time to catch The Daily Show Global Edition at 10 on CNN International. Tonight, partly fueled by my adventurous Kiwi friend Becks, found us enjoying spirits at the Second Floor bar in Kemang until well past my usual bedtime, then dancing about merrily at Dragonfly (or something like that) until...um, an hour ago.
I think at one point one of our beverages was purposely set on fire.
I think, at the time, it was cool.
I am so too old for this.

Let me rephrase that: flaming beverages are ALWAYS cool. Same with flaming desserts. Really, why aren't there more foods served this way?

Wow. I'm tired just reading this. This weekend I enjoyed a Friday night of painting pottery and a Saturday night eating BLTs with Al and Nate and playing Candyland with Ethan. When did I get old?

When you turned 26 back in October. I still have a month and a half to enjoy my reckless youth.
