Wee Beans

The problem with rescuing kittens is that one never knows what sort of health said kittens are in. The teensy orange kitty died this afternoon. She (or he, we're not sure) was rather sickly to begin with, and never really ate much or played like the little black kitten did.

The black kitten, whom we've renamed Beans Stanislavsky Armknecht...Beans for short...is just fine though. The vet came to see him tonight. She makes house calls and is really wonderful. We found out that Beans was indeed a he and that he was flea-free. The vet gave him a shot, but he didn't seem to mind-he kept purring right through it. Now he's half asleep on my lap, purring as loudly as he can while he tries to stay awake. He's healthy, Dr. Diah said, just needs to get fatter. We can work on that. Well, not we, as I don't need to get fatter. :)

Anyway, that's our news for today. I guess we have a kitten. Oh dear. Keep our curtains and armchairs in your prayers...Beans has a lot of pointy ends!
