Serenity Prayer

God, grant me the strength to not kill the next 10th grader who comes to me surprised to discover the monologue project assigned a month ago is due today. Help me realize, it’s my fault for not giving them more notice. I told them at the beginning of the semester when it was due, I gave them several class periods to work on it, I told them it had to be memorized. Obviously, I should have done more. Grant them the wisdom to miraculously have them memorized in the next 3 minutes. Have the 10 out of 20 who also completed the written assignment due today sainted. The other 10, let them see the paper I gave them with the due dates written on it. Let them know it, understand it, as I have.
